Transport resumes in Arghakhanchi

Arghakhanchi, July 20 - Transport has resumed in Arghakhanchi after seven days after an agreement on Friday. Banda has affected the district for the past six days.

The students withdrew the transport strike after the transport entrepreneurs agreed to provide 45 percent discount to students on public transport fare. The agreement was reached at a meeting held between the transport entrepreneurs, students and political leaders at the district administration office today. As per the agreement, the students will get 45 percent concession in the public transportation of Sandhikharka - Butwal route. Similarly, only four students will get the discount in public transport of Sandhikharka – Kathmandu route.

The students had been agitating since July 12 demanding 45 percent concession in public transport as per the agreement reached between the government and the transport entrepreneurs.
